Stephen has been providing advice and care to women in obstetrics, gynaecology, fertility and reproductive health for over 14 years. As a father of three, Stephen understands that there is no greater joy than the safe arrival of a new baby. He works closely with you to fully understand your preferred approach to labour and delivery and provides honest and straight-forward advice at all times.
In addition to his professional expertise in treating infertility and recurrent miscarriage, his personal experience with these issues provides him with a unique insight into the physical and psychological challenges women face when they are trying to conceive. He is passionate about staying abreast of the latest and most effective treatment options, ensuring families have the best possible chance of success. Stephen is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology has been a regular assessor of overseas and Australian students and doctors.
He was previously the Director of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Redlands Hospital and continues to provide specialist care at a major public hospital where he regularly consults on high risk obstetric and gynaecological cases. He is committed to providing the highest level of care for women in the journey towards parenthood and beyond. Stephen’s ability to explain even the most complex of medical treatments in an easy to understand manner is always appreciated by his patients and has earned him a prized University of Queensland School of Medicine clinical teaching award.
Dr Sen Gupta is a General Paediatrician and a Neonatologist with vast experience and over 25 years in both Australia and India. He specialises in childhood diseases – especially developmental and psycho-social – as well as respiratory illness, neurology, endocrine (diabetes) and neonatology. He has a special interest in palliative care and adolescent and young adult medicine.
He was awarded the FRACP (General Paedatrics and Child Heath) recently after three and a half years of advanced training in 2017. He graduated in India and worked as a fully qualified Paedatrician in one of the most populous cities of the world, Kolkata (Calcutta)
Dr Sen Gupta commenced working at Ipswich Hospital in 2006. He has since worked in most hospitals in South East Queensland and Northern NSW, including the Royal Children’s Hospital, Mater Children’s Hospital (QLD Children’s Hospital), Gold Coast University Hospital, Logan Hospital, Tweed Hospital, St Andrews Brisbane and the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
Over the past twelve years he has worked in General Paediatrics, Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery, Paediatric Intensive Care Units, Paediatric Emergency Departments, Paediatric Gastroenterology Units, Respiratory Units and Neurology Units.
He is well versed with advanced skills in Neonatology. During his time at PICU across the Mater Children’s and Gold Coast University Hospital, he has worked closely under the supervision with the Paediatric Anaesthetic team as part of his roster.
Dr Sen Gupta has great communication skills and understands that communication is the cornerstone in delivering healthcare comprehensively. He provides clear explanations of his diagnosis, management, options and procedures, and strives to keep GPs and families well informed.
Dr Sen Gupta works alongside us in our rooms here at Sunnybank Private Hospital every Friday and we are proud to have him be a part of our team.

In addition to her primary job functions, Natalie has been recognised by community healthcare providers, as well as antenatal and postnatal support services for her extraordinary commitment to her role.
